Kids are more than the future of the Church
Kids are the NOW of the Church!
- Kids will experience both All Ages inclusive & age-specific programming
- Parents don’t need to stifle their children’s energy in the pews
- We encourage wiggly disruptive exploration of their sanctuary home
- Kids are invited forward to actively participate in both sacraments
- Kids help bless the baptismal waters and the communion elements
- Kids learn the music of our faith through the All Ages Pick Up Choir
- We don’t water down our theology for kids, we translate it
- Staff facilitate Children’s Time as an engaging theological dialogue
- Volunteers lead a Sunday School inclusive of all learning styles & needs
- Congregants faithfully build a healthy relational community of resilience
Sunday Morning For Children
Toddler Room Care
Toddlers are welcome in worship or to play with our paid Toddler Room Teacher in the Eden Room
Worship
Every Sunday kids begin in worship
Usually there is a Children’s Time about 15 minutes into worship before they depart for Sunday School
On Communion Sundays, students return to help bless the elements and receive with their families
Sunday School
First Sundays includes a short one-room, often incorporating some music & games
Most Sundays students are divided into age groups that can include 5-15 students
